Life

Got Bluey back from her MOT. I basically got told off by the mechanic for not driving enough. We ended up less out of pocket than we’d feared.

Went to track for the first time in a long time on Tuesday evening. Didn’t fare too badly. The running track proper is being repaired so the session was on the Finsbo carriageway – not sure I’d have gone if I’d known that was the case, but ultimately glad I did.

Looked after Αα on Wednesday morning while Σσ had important Number 10 business to deal with. Me and Αα went to the playground in the sun and I’m confident we had the considerably better time.

We drove up to The Lakes after school on Friday. Took a GIANT pain au chocolat we’d spotted in an Islington bakery. Αα puked twice and there was no end of wailing but it was several hours shorter than last year.

The Scottish contingent all seemed well. The weather was glorious. Me and Don got embroiled in a fell race around the Old Man – it was nice to be running in the hills but I was feeling pretty peaky from the off. Σσ was rough too – food poisoning, hangover, swimming in the lake, or a virus were all possible candidates. I reckon virus because my legs have basically stopped working in the aftermath.
